You could just get an MGB if you are into stuffy, tweed British interiors.
It would be the real British sports car experience too, not a refined Japanese knock-off.
Disappointed handling, anemic power, poor quality control and uninspired styling covered up in turd-green paint! Why would you want a Miata when you could have something properly British?

All kidding aside, I'd replace the steering wheel and maybe put some metal rings around the vents, but I do not like the tweed. It's not classy; it's like the guy who takes his typewriter to the library. There is no sense in trying to make the miata into something it's not.

I am not trying to make it into anything. I have a crappy worn out interior. I love harris tweed (I have two tweed coats) tweed would be a dope interesting material used to upholstery my seats and better grip than the stock leather.
You seem to hate miatas. I love them. We will never come to agreement and no matter what I do you will hate it. that is all there is to it. The End.

I found the pattern I want of actual harris tweed for $82 bucks a yard. here is one place selling it more expensive.

Most of that was sarcastic bashing on the MGB, not the Miata. I've got nothing against either car. I don't think The tweed looks like it belongs in a small 90s Japanese car.
If it stops you from sliding around then that might justify it.
